The Translation Lab offers a full range of translation-related services for all kinds of documents, from surveys to brochures to books. We provide everything you need to produce professional copy for your target audiences, including front-end content preparation, consultation, terminology guides, editing, community review, and desktop publishing. Drawing on our academic connections, we furnish our staff and clients with a full range of reference materials, including specialized dictionaries and term databases. These resources are available both on-site and through a nationwide academic network. Translation Lab staff also use Computer-Aided Translation (CAT) such as TRADOS, building personalized translation memories for our long-term clients to help us produce high-volume translations on tight deadlines. The Translation Lab is also a nationwide leader in translator screening and training. We offer precise and rigorous evaluation services for both translators and interpreters. Helping to bridge academe and community, we conduct supervised internships in translation for fluent bilingual students. We also foster research on problems and techniques of translation, terminology management, and new technologies. The Translation Lab provides specialized workshops and training for professionals who wish to communicate with foreign clients and colleagues.
